The Miseries of Enforced Marriage : ウィキペディア英語版 | The Miseries of Enforced Marriage
''The Miseries of Enforced Marriage'' is a play written by George Wilkins in 1607. The play covers the real life case of a murder which was also the subject of Thomas Middleton's 1605 play ''The Yorkshire Tragedy''. Wilkins was a brothel owner of Cow Cross street in the notorious red-light district known as Prik't Hatch after the barbed windows on the brothels which gave a glimpse of the naked flesh within. Wilkins was also co-author, with William Shakespeare, of ''Pericles, Prince of Tyre'' writing most of the first two acts. ==References==
